Dear Backwater Town community,
We would like to inform you about the current status of Backwater Town (kotri.lv). The domain was originally created by an internet user known as Kotritrona and was launched around March 12, 2019. Kotri ceased all online activities around January 2021, and subsequently, the kotri.lv domain expired after a certain period.
On February 26, 2023, the kotri.lv domain was re-registered by me and directed to the origin server address leaked by Google search, which is now stored in TXT record of kotri.lv, allowing the forum to come back online. Despite various efforts to uncover the real identity of Kotri since then, we have not been successful.
Around February 20, 2024, the Linode origin server went offline. Most of the posts have been archived by archive.today, and you can access them at archive.today/kotri.lv. Additionally, you can join the Matrix group set up for BWT users at #backwatertown:envs.net. If you have any questions, contact me via [email protected].
Currently, the origin server for kotri.lv is offline, and I am announcing this to keep our users informed of the situation.
